How long will the plants stay fresh in the box?
Yes. Plants are sealed in breathable, compostable bags to stay hydrated. They’ll be happy in the box for up to 5 days — we recommend unboxing within 3 days for best results.
Can I ship straight to my friend/family?
Yes! Just enter their name & shipping address at checkout. We don’t include prices in the box :)
Can I add a gift message?
Absolutely. Every order includes a complimentary gift message. You’ll be prompted at checkout to add your note. 💌
If you're sending it straight to their address, we recommend including your name so they know who it's from!
How long does it take to make?
Just 25-60 minutes! It’s easy and mess-free. Each kit with a printed guide and tissue paper to use as placemats to keep your space tidy while you build.
How long does the terrarium last once it’s made?
With the right care, it can thrive for months — even years. All the tips are in our printed care guide.

Is it safe for pets or kids?
We mostly use pet-safe plants like Fittonia and moss. Some Leafage DIY terrarium kits, we include ivy, which can be harmful if eaten — so it’s best to keep kits out of reach of curious cats while building. Always supervise little ones during the activity.
