We are on a mission to bring people together to reconnect, recharge and rediscover through nature-inspired activity.
We specialise in running fun, creative and hands-on Terrarium Team-Building Workshops, DIY Terrarium Kits and other curated products, all dedicated to bringing the outside in
+ What exactly is a terrarium?
A terrarium is a miniature garden that mimics real landscapes inside a glass vessel. There are two types of terrariums, open and closed, and both are a perfect way to bring nature inside your office & home.
+ What terrarium workshops do you offer?
We run in-person, virtual & hybrid terrarium workshops, for both the community and corporate clients alike.

+ How do I book an event with you?

Team Workshops (In-person events)
+ How long do your terrarium workshops last?
Our Terrarium Workshops last approximately one hour. We can however tailor this to your event needs, speak to our team if you are looking for something bespoke.
+ What is your in-person terrarium event lead time?
Our usual turnaround time for an in-person workshop is 3 weeks.
If you need a workshop sooner than that, we'll do our best to make it happen.
Booking your event in advance is a good idea to ensure everything goes smoothly. That way, we can plan and deliver your workshop without any issues.
+ Can you tailor the terrarium workshop to compliment the theme of my event?
Our team at Leafage wants to give you your perfect workshop - from the overall theme, down to the minor details. We can cater directly to your choice of time, terrrarium plant type, event theme and more.

+ I’ve never made a terrarium before, will I be okay?
Sure thing! Our experienced team is here to help every step of the way. Don't worry about making mistakes - it's a creative process and we all make them! We're here to support you and make sure you have a great time. 💜
+ What are your payment terms?
If the event is more than 4 weeks away, we'll need a 50% deposit (minimum of 10 guests) to confirm it. This deposit is non-refundable.
The rest of the payment is due 4 weeks before the event.
If the booking is made within 4 weeks of the event, we'll need the full payment upfront to confirm it.
Keep in mind that all payments are non-refundable and rescheduling is only possible at Leafage’s discretion.

Team Workshops (Virtual & Hybrid events)
+ How long does the virtual terrarium workshop take?
We want to make sure your team building workshop fits your needs, and in this case time is on your side. On average our workshops last for 1 hour. Our classes are suitable for an evening session afterwork or can be the perfect lunch and learn break. A little time away to clear your mind before diving into your work schedules.
+ What is your virtual event lead time?
- 2 weeks for UK addresses
- 3 weeks for non-UK, US and EU addresses
If you need a workshop sooner, we will try our best to accommodate your request. We recommend booking your event in advance, especially for addresses outside the UK, to ensure a smooth delivery.
+ What do I do with the plants until the workshop day?
We‘ve worked really hard to ensure the plants stay fresh for as long as possible which is why they are received inside biodegradable clear bags. This would keep them hydrated during delivery and for as long as they are left in the bags.
We highly recommend unboxing the kit when it reaches you. Make sure to get the plants out of the box as plants do need light to thrive.
If somehow your plants look wilting, don’t panic! Simply thoroughly water the plant and let the water drain out. Keep your plants away from direct sunlight.

+ Can you send items internationally, are there any custom fees?
Please note we are not able to include plants and soil in our DIY kits when shipping outside of the UK due to rules on importing plants and soil abroad.
The customer will be responsible for any possible duties and taxes incurred when the boxes cross international borders, please be aware that this also includes EU countries due to Brexit.
Team Workshops (Materials & Deliveries for In-person events)
+ When will the workshop materials Arrive?
For workshops on WEDNESDAYS, THURSDAYS & FRIDAYS - Items will arrive on Monday between 9-5pm the week of the workshop.
For workshops on MONDAYS & TUESDAYS - Items will arrive on Friday between 9-5pm the week before the workshop.
If you are needing a specific delivery window we can discuss direct delivery options with you to meet your needs.
+ Can I request a specific timeframe for the delivery to arrive?
Our standard Deliveries arrive via van between 9-5pm.
If you need to request delivery to arrive within a specific time frame or before 11am then we can arrange for a Direct delivery from our warehouse at an additional charge. The minimum window for a direct delivery we can provide is a two hour window.
+ How many material boxes will there be?
For Events under 12 Guests, you can expect 1-2 boxes [45x45x45cm]
For Events with 12-30 Guests you can expect 3-4 Boxes [45x45x45]
+ Can you provide delivery driver details e.g. Number plate?
Yes, we can provide these on request, please get in touch with hello@weareleafge.com.
+ What should I do If workshop materials arrive broken?
Check boxes once you have received your delivery to ensure there are no breakages and everything looks good. Inform us at hello@weareleafage.com swiftly of any breakages and send us images so we can arrange replacements.

+ I’ve placed an order online, when can I expect my goodies?
Yay! You’ve ordered online.
We have two delivery options to choose from:
- UK Next Day Delivery (YODEL 24 HOURS) - Order before 11am
- UK Standard Delivery 2 - 4 working days
You will receive tracking information from Yodel once your order has been processed.

During busy periods, our postal friends are working super hard, so your delivery may take a little longer than usual. Please be kind to them, and allow time for these delays.

+ Can I gift Leafage?
Of course! Leafage was made for gifting. Any of the products on our site are giftable, or if you’re not sure what will prickle their fancy (pun definitely intended), treat them to a Gift Voucher instead.
Our Gift Vouchers expire 12 months from the date of purchase.

+ Can I include a personalised message in my order?
Absolutely! Simply add a You're Unbeleafable postcard and include your personalised message at checkout. We’ll include this in your order 💜
+ I received a DIY kit as a gift, what should I know?
Welcome to the fam! A step-by-step guide will come inside your kit so you can get your hands dirty in no thyme.
We’ve worked really hard to ensure the plants stay fresh for as long as possible, which is why they are received inside biodegradable bags.
We recommend unboxing the kit as soon as it reaches you to ensure the plants can thrive in some natural light. If somehow your plant(s) look a little wilting, don’t panic! Simply give them lots of TLC and water.

+ Do you accept returns?
We mostly stock perishable goods so for this reason we don’t accept returns, soz! If your items are received damaged, we’ll be very happy to send you out a replacement free of charge.

Public Workshops
+ What happens in a Terrarium Workshop?
During the terrarium workshop, you will learn about the history and science behind these self-sustaining ecosystems. The instructor will provide a demonstration on the tools and plants used to create a terrarium. Then, you will get hands-on experience building your own custom terrarium to take home.
+ What plants will I use in the workshop?
The workshops use a variety of small tropical plants such as fittonia, ferns, calathea, ivy, and mosses. The specific plant selection may vary depending on the terrarium vessel you choose.
+ Can I bring a friend or partner to the workshop?
Yes, you are welcome to bring a friend or partner to the workshop. There is typically a small additional fee for a "plus one" ticket due to the limited space in the studio.
+ Can I use my own terrarium vessel?
Yes, you can bring your own vessel as long as it is no larger than 25cm in diameter. Simply select the "BYO Vessel" option when booking your workshop ticket.
+ How do I get my terrarium home safely?
The workshop provider will supply bags and care guides to help you transport your new terrarium home safely. You're also welcome to bring your own tote bag
