Leafage Terrarium Weekend Workshop

During this terrarium class, you’ll build your own closed terrarium from the ground up, layering soil, moss and tropical plants to create a small, living garden to take home. No previous plant experience needed!
It’s a lovely way to spend a slow Sunday, whether you’re treating yourself to a solo date, planning something different with your partner, or sharing an easy, mindful activity with a friend or family member. You’ll head home with a mini ecosystem that will keep growing long after the workshop. 🌱

- We recommend arriving 10 minutes early so we can start the workshop on time.
- Your order confirmation email is your ticket — we’ll have your name on the guest list when you arrive.
- Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- If you can’t attend, you’re welcome to send someone in your place, email hello@weareleafage.com and let us know their name
- Food and drinks aren’t included in the ticket price, but delicious pizza and drinks are available to purchase at the venue!

Everything you need to know about Leafage Terrarium Workshops 💚🌱
What happens in a Terrarium Workshop?
We kick off with a fun, easy intro to the magic behind these self-sustaining mini ecosystems. After a quick demo, you’ll get hands-on and build your own terrarium, a calming, creative moment to reconnect with nature. 🌱
Which plants will I be using?
You’ll work with tropical favourites like fittonia, ivy and fresh mosses. Each vessel has its own mix, and every terrarium always turns out beautifully unique.
Can I bring a friend or partner along?
Each person needs their own ticket so we can make sure there’s enough space and materials for everyone.
How do I take my terrarium home?
We’ll provide a bag and a simple care guide to help you get your new creation home safely.
How long does the terrarium last once it’s made?
With the right care, it can thrive for months — even years. All the tips are in our printed care guide.

Is the workshop safe if I’m pregnant?
Yes, you’re very welcome to join us!
Many pregnant guests enjoy our workshops as a calm, gentle way to slow down and connect with nature. We provide gloves, and you can choose how hands-on you’d like to be during the session.
Our workshops use standard potting materials. If you have any concerns, we recommend checking the latest NHS guidance or speaking with your healthcare professional to make sure you feel completely comfortable.
Is it safe for pets or kids?
We mostly use pet-safe plants like Fittonia and moss. Some Leafage DIY terrarium kits, we include ivy, which can be harmful if eaten — so it’s best to keep kits out of reach of curious cats while building. Always supervise little ones during the activity.
Do I need to bring a ticket?
Your confirmation email is your ticket — we’ll have your name on the list when you arrive.
I can’t attend the workshop I booked. Can I get a refund?
We don’t offer workshop refunds, if you let us know at least one week in advance, we can move you to another date.
